Battery part of structural integrity?

Was just wondering if it's safe to ride my Whyte E-505 without the battery. Don't really plan too, however just curious if the battery is essential to the strength of the frame.

The battery does not make the bike stronger, it’s the fact the Down tube has not been cut into to access the battery which makes the bike stronger.

Batteries are not load bearing structures, nor are they designed to be, unless they have a massive hefty metal plate attached to them
