Battery or power button issue

My Focus Jam2 stopped working mid-ride when charged as far as I can tell. Took it to a dealer who's having issues running diagnostic as WiFi not apparently connecting but has since got into the motor and screen. He can't test the battery and the Shimano people in Germany are telling him in any case the batteries have been discontinued. My only option appears to be a battery cell rebuild, although it might be the power switch or PCB ( I saw another forum comment about breaking into the battery and pressing/resetting the PCB switch, which fixed the charging issue) . At a bit of a loss. Any thoughts?

Is it the one with the 378Wh frame battery?

JE James in Rotherham are still a Focus dealer if I remember rightly, and they order stuff in if they don’t have it, including replacement batteries.

A quick google shows some German bike shops still seem to have the batteries, so that’s always an option.

Worth trying the reset button, but you need to ensure you properly seal the battery case again if it does work. Water and batteries don’t mix very well.

It says on the battery 36vdc. It's the older model that is slotted inside the frame so you have to remove the motor to get at it. I've asked the dealer to try to reset the battery
