- Dense air in cold weather gives greater drag.
- You wear more clothes = larger surface for wind resistance.
- All lubricants in the driveline are stiffer = more loss.
- In winter, it typically blows more and more often, so you have more wind resistance.
- Wet roads provide greater rolling resistance.
