and where did you order from? I ask because I need to get an m510 these days. so that it is not delivered to me wrong. that I don't have to change the battery😂😂😂. i think the power should be equal.
I order from here: https://m.alibaba.com/product/1600440278985/2022-new-Bafang-M510-middle-drive.html?__detailProductImg=https://s.alicdn.com/@sc04/kf/Hd78b8fdecb4b49b7be683811d4d0216c7.jpg_200x200.jpg

Thanks, strange that bafang built several wires following throttle or not ? connection of throttle is on main wire normally, brake sensors is aditional wiring tlinked to an dedicated connector on motor, I asked that becaus on your link i see "throttle : NO".

Hello everyone. m510 arrived. built-in and tested. a faster engine reaction is immediately felt. stronger power supply on uphills. if some details are still being worked out, let's hope so. on some hills it even delivers too much power at low revs. but you need to get used to it. at some moments 2 and 3 level the engine stops at low cadences when there is no load, when going from uphill to straight. but for the most part there is an improvement and a stronger supply of power on the hills. before on a hill quite steep m500 was the same 4 or 5 level. now the difference is felt. lower battery consumption! now shows in the application bafanggo and bms from the battery similar voltages. and they fixed that part. these are the impressions after the first run of 20 km and 1000m altitude. consumed 40% of the 480wh battery. I will write more comments after another ride.

update. needs new chainguide, since m500 doesn't fit. the crankarms screw is M16, does not match the M500 M15

pictures of chainguide attached

I think the M510 motor is a strong candidate to beat Bosch Motor (Performance X Gen 4), especially if it receives many updates in the future like the Bafang m500.
It will probably become 20 to 25 % stronger than it is now.

something like that. it's a very good engine now. i like that they kept a pretty natural sense of pedaling. only to smooth out movements and sudden power boosts at low cadences. but I'll say more after another ride, this was the first ride to prove the engine. so far I've driven a shimano e8000 70nm is quite similar to the m500 but it is better to withstand heavy loads but has little power, OLI sport 85nm good engine behaves in almost all conditions like the m500. giant syncdrive pro 80nm similar to m510 quite explosive starts. i think the m510 is on a very good path.

no need to boost the engine 25%, then it would be too strong, for that there is an m600! just a little more to equalize the power delivery and everything is great.

I agree with you on many points, but it is very important that we get the maximum power that the motor can provide (Of course, without overheating) and we always have the option to reduce that power as needed by choosing lower levels.

my opinion is that the m510 has enough power for a 250w motor. it can certainly give 50% more power, but how long and how long will it last in the engine! none of us need an engine that will last 6 months to 1 year. that's not good. and if I want a stronger engine then I will buy an m600 or even something stronger. that's why there are several types of engines! or even simpler motocross! 😀😀

This is good news that the motor is so powerful.🙂
But sometimes we need more power to climb steep slopes easly.🚲
So I told you without overheating so as not to shorten the life of the motor.
The problem is that the M600 motor is not legal in the EU, otherwise I would have bought it instead of M500 over a year ago.😄

it is slightly louder than the m500. but it's still quieter than all the engines I've heard and ridden. I think I can now start without worries with a turbo levo 😎😎😎. when will you install the engine?
I wanted to install the motor in my LCES 1075 frame last Sunday, but found that it would not fit without modifications to the frame. The mounting points are identical, but the case is thicker than the M600 in one place. And while I'm at it, I mount the speed sensor on the brake disc and route the cable through the chainstay. So it takes a little bit more time to ride the new motor. 😪

@KaroKönig
I buy an M510 motor kit + one LCES004 frame, my compenants comes next month, after discussion with John from LIGHT CARBON FRAMES, he confirmed LCES004 is compatible with any modification.
The webpage of LCES004 is updating
New LightCarbon Enduro Full Suspension Ebike Frameset Designing For Bafang Motor Suppliers,Manufacturers,Factories

After to read your comment I write an email to John to check on a frame why we need modification. I wait is answer

Sorry, was my fault, the LCES 1075 frame is the one who need modification
