Apple Watch (6) and Blevo or ebike in general

I've only got a slanted interest in the apple watch. It is "not quite there" in what I really want it to do, so the price is not justifiable.

For 'reasons' I ended up with the chance to have $400 in Best Buy gift cards which pays for the cheapest apple watch 6 GPS/Cellular.

I've never been one for fitness tracking and don't care about step counting, but I do have Blevo. I've never used it yet, but I thought it interesting to tie my Kenevo assist to my heart rate. the 6 has O2 monitoring, maybe that's neat to have, I don't know. I would eventually pick up cellular service but for now I would not, and just tether to my phone. so I'd get the cellular but not activate for a year or three.

I guess my question is are there other useful applications for apple watch besides HR control of assist on the bike? is it worth it for you? For users of apple watch, what else do you use for fitness besides step tracking, sleep tracking, and blevo. Worth it to you? do you use it for anything else?

I have a Series 5, and I've found it to be quite useful. I'll start with the non-MTB stuff, and save the MTB stuff for the end.

NOT FOR RIDING
1. Knowing the time and date is often useful.
2. I can see the upcoming events on my calendar.
3. I can see and be alerted for all my upcoming reminders.
4. Streams music to my AirPods and vehicles.
5. Sets alarms for waking up, appointments, etc.
6. Sets timers, mostly for cooking.
7. With cellular, I don't need to carry a phone. This is also great for riding.
8. Text messaging, without the need to carry a phone.
9. Map navigation (GPS).
10. Manages thermostats and lights at home.

RIDING
1. See #7 above.
2. Weather. I can see the weather forecast to help plan rides.
3. Strava. I don't need to carry a phone or GPS on rides. There is a native app, but Strava is better.
4. Phone capability. Riding with a phone is sensible, and with a cellular watch, you don't need to carry a big phone.

I've also played with the watch to manage my bike while on a ride, but I like the onboard computer better. The watch isn't as elegant a solution. If I had a bike with no computer display, like the Orbea, then the watch would be VERY important.

I assume blevo still needs the phone to control, and just gets HR from the watch, so if I get one, still gotta carry the phone. Maybe a future blevo will be apple watch capable.

But the idea of ditching a phone entirely and using apple watch as an iphone mini has had me interested since the first one was ever released.
