Just wondering if anyone had upgraded their forks from the standard jam2 ones ? If so which ones did you go for and for what reason.
I have the standard RS ones

Are the forks difficult to swap?

Is there a guide somewhere as to which shocks are a straight swap?

I'm currently arguing with myself internally as to whether I upgrade bits on my Jam2 & add a TEC pack, or go for a more expensive new / nearly new bike (thinking YT Decoy or Kenevo).

Someone talk me out of it please :D

Forks are fairly easy to swap if you have a good hacksaw and the skills to correctly cut the stearer tube to the correct length and fit the star washer into the tube.

A lot cheaper than buying a new bike, the other option is to get your LBS to fit them.

I swapped the RS Recon 140mm fork that came on my Jam2 to RS Revelation RC 150mm 2019 model with the Debonair Air Spring.
It's been a great upgrade.
I only paid £2800 for my 2018 Jam2 Ltd Plus.(brand new - great deal from Rutland Cycles last November).
So far I've swapped the forks, converted to tubeless, changed the front tyre to a Maxxis Minion DHF, replaced the grips and the seatpost clamp, and I still haven't spent the £3500, that was the original RRP of the bike - Happy days!!!!

2019 Fox 36 150mm with grip2. Big plus on performance over the 2018 Revelations RC. Currently running 4 volume spacer reducers plan to drop down to 3. Initially fork comes 160mm you need to buy a 150mm air shaft to reduce travel - Fcous according to my local dealer won’t warranty frame if it has more than 150mm fork on it.

Other major performance increase to suspension I made installing cushcore. Cushcore rocks on jam no bounce when stredding down rocky tech lines.
