Anyone recently bought at www. bike-components.de ?

Most of the time I order at bike-discount, decathlon, or bike24,
but this time for a Garmin 1040 I ordered at www.bike-components.de

I asked some questions but when I got the answer the item was out of stock.
Then I asked when they will be deliverable again, suddenly they are in stock.
Ordered and payed, everything fine.

But now after a week I still received no shipment code.
When I ask why it's "yesyes we have your item here, we're processing"
In the mean time, the Item is out of stock on their website.

Did you recently buy there ? What is happening ?

i did order some bits and bobs, but never received them... they screwed up my address in it's stuck with DHL for a week now
they dispatched it quick, like next day...

not sure who to blame. only spend 10 eur so cannot be bother to call DHL at this point

I had a similar experience buying a Zeb Ultimate Fork. When ordered , the item was listed as "in stock" with green flag, then I received an order confirmation email saying it was out of stock even if on the web site was still available. So the dispatch date was delayed 10 days than another 7 days but then it was delivered sooner than the expected date. In the end, I got my fork, but the process was quite odd...

Exactly what I was suspecting.
They play with their availability status to collect money,
once there's enough they pass the order themselves to some wholesaler.

Buy from them every now and again for bits and bobs. Never had any problems. But I'm in Germany. Don't know where you're based. A Brexit thing maybe??

I can't see the relevance of Brexit or Country when they even didn't call the transport company to send the package away.
Payment was made with Visa/Mastercard stuff, that takes max 1 second to verify.

I'm in Belgium, the other German companies give me a trackingnumber the day after.

Last time it took five days to ship the parts but that`s only complaint, I have ordered a lot from them and usually it`s faster 😀
