Anyone noticed increase in assistance/drop in range in Trail with 4.7/4.71 firmware??

I updated my motor to the 4.71 firmware before the weekend. Had a session at a regular spot and noticed a tangible increase in the level of assistance in trail mode. Unfortunately it was accompanied by a similarly noticeable drop in range.
Usually the bike is on the Explorer preset for that location, so will probably go back to the default Dynamic for the next outing.
