Since I got the bike, I have busted maybe 6–10 spokes... Am I the only Focus Sam2 rider that's busting spokes/wheels at a clip?
From new I put on Newmen 35s and DT 350 hubs... had them detension a couple times, builder rechecked them, loctite etc...
Back on the trail, ride down a g-out compression after a rock roll... had done it a hundred times on my Kenevo with DT wheels, no problem... This time, cracked rim, spokes, and derailleur gone....
So now I spring for a new set of DT350s, heavy duty spokes and FR560 rims... All back together but too busy to ride... Fast forward a couple months, itching to get out, second ride today, boom, 3 more spokes, wrapped in the derailleur. Spewing.
Have ridden these trails for ages, am heavy at 106kg but can ride well, know how/when to pick up the rear etc... didn't have the same issue on my Kenevo. Seems odd, two wheelsets, but similar happenings.
Sometimes get the feeling the Super Deluxe on the Sam2 6.8 doesn't get out the way quick enough but at this point i'm getting over it. Any ideas?
