What is the master spline for on the pedal shaft ?

If there's an optical sensor near it it might be for measuring RPM.

there is also a mark on the part that goes on top of it. that fits inside the one way bearing. do not know the parts name but i always line them up anyways. mark is there for a reason i think

that centre piece slides out! it has the markings on the top
