Hi All,

Just about to swap my Hope brakes onto the RS180. Before I kick into it I was wondering if anyone had any tips to make it easier running the new brake line through the frame?

Thanks!

Buy one of the hose/cable feeding kits.

They usually consist of a flexible line with a magnet. Park do one which will probably be far better than most oro generic amazon types.

And its currently only 60 quid on Tredz

You can just tape some string or fishing line to you old lines before you pull them out.

Crestline routing is pretty easy I've done it quite a few times now. The only tricky bit is the rear triangle. The oval opening at the front of the triangle can be fiddly to guide the new hose down. The rest is very easy as it's tube in tube internally up to the display. Whip that off to guide the new hose the last few inches.

I always use one of these (y)

This is the answer. I’m glad I have one.
You likely have to loosen any clamping points or bulkheads, maybe even drop the motor.

With a push/pull method the hose will follow its way through the frame. A cheap but priceless little tool.
