Any idea where this rubber bung goes?

I finally managed to sneak down the road to my garage this morning - pretending I was going shopping with my shopping bag in hand...

My bike has been parked up for 6 weeks. Moved it this morning to change the rear tyre and the rubber bung, below, was laying under the bike.

I've had a look at the exploded diagram for the Jam2 and can't see a bung like this anywhere.

Anyone have any idea?

It looks exactly like a handlebar bung to me, but unless you have gi-normous hands is way too small. Maybe a frame bung for holes left to vent air when the bike is painted. Up-end the bike and have another look.

I guess it could be that the handlebar bung shrunk when I gave it a hot wash...

(The bikes on the stand at the moment while I change the tyres, so I'd already turned it over to look. Can't see anywhere that looks like it might fit.)

Looks more like a grommet to cover a screw?

Is it possible it's not off the bike?

Like a charger or that VHS video recorder you have stashed for the big come back?

Some of the Jams have a "knock block" on the down tube to prevent the forks denting it in a crash

thumb shifter cable hole cover?
Had a look. The bung is way too big and doesn't exist on the Focus Jam or Thron.

Has your other half placed it under your bike to wind you up?

That's got me wondering...

I upended my bike again this morning and went over it with a torch (still in lockdown, so I had to do this hidden in the garage). There's nowhere this bung seems to belong. Did the same with the missus' bike. Nothing missing there either. Tried to upend the missus, but she was having none of it...

I've got 8 bikes in the garage and at the start of the lockdown had a bit of a rummage around to get my road bike out for turbo trainer duties. There's also the patio furniture wintering in there, along with the camping gear and the towbar rack. Thinking about it, it could have come from anywhere. I'll just have to run a close eye over everything I take out of the garage from now on.

At least I'm pretty sure it's not off one of the EMTBs.

Thanks for your help y'all.

I was repairing a puncture once and I found exactly the same thing next to my tyre. I’ve still not worked out where it came from and I have a Cube hardtail
