I'm from Craiova, Romania and I've ridden the Transfagarasan in Winter a long time ago

What should I do first to/with my bike?

It came with Maxxis Minion DHF and DHR II tires. Brand new as it is, I'll wear these out first.
It was supposed to have Assegai on the front, but the vendor changed it for some reason... still waiting for a communication from them.

I definitely use Assigia 2.6 for the front tire when I’m in the snow. We don’t get too much icy conditions for studded tires though.

Ride it first, see if anything needs changing - probably won't at the start - just enjoy for a few months, then start thinking about changes...
