Hey all,

Looking for some advice as to why i am having soooo much trouble releasing the main gear and sprag bearing from the torque tube.
I have had an uncomfortable amount of pressure on this thing and i am nervous i am going do some damage so have stopped for now.
Most videos i have seen show people lightly tapping or using a bearing puller to lift this gear up and off. I have secured the torque tube in place with 2 circlips to stop it rising and damaging the torque sensor, rotated the torque tube to ensure it is still moving as it usually does (to ensure the sprags arent engaging) and have applied a puller to the gear. Ive put so much pressure into the puller that its so tight i can barely move the handle on top of the puller, which to me is way too much force to be applying so backed it off. I had a thought that sprags were somehow engaging as i was trying to lift and that it may be slightly tilted somehow, but i have now tried 2 2 arm pullers and a 3 arm puller. I have even gone to a reputable LBS and used their equipment with the same result. the best i can get it to move is around 2 mm up the tube wich is basically the width of the circlip groove in front of the gear (yes i did remove the circlip).
Im running out of ideas now and thought i would see if the forum community might have an idea as to what is going on. Surely it shouldnt be this hard to remove a bearing assembly from a plain shaft.
Point to note that after every attempt i spun the gear to ensure everything is working as it should and it is, so to me this should mean the sprag gear is not damaged.
Cheers all
