I'm based in Madrid-Spain and willing to get into this new eMTB world.
It is incredible how lost one can feel while thinking you had all needed information beforehand. I've been in MTBs since a teenager and that's just 30 years ago!! That background should tell me I know about bikes... (really?). On the electric part, I'm into drones, have +20 of them and easily +100 lithium batteries. On top of that owning a BMW Evolution electric scooter so should be quite versed on brusless motors, batteries, charging, etc... Problem is combining both, MTB + Electric and feeling as lost as Wally in a beach during confinement.
I've spent already a week looking for information on type of bike, motors, components, etc. Will need your help of refining that search!. In the end, I assume that, on a certain price point, all bikes will be good. What's important now is hearing about experiences and knowledge from others.
