an introduction....hmmm

as a Dane, i grew up on bicycles, got my first mtb as 14yo, many many ....many years ago...that turned into scooters and motorcycles, and the bike was just used to get to the train station.

then moved to California, and we soon found out the motorcycling and bicycles seemed to dangerous among distracted drivers, that seems more into eating, being on their phones, and watching netflix than keeping their eyes on the road....

my butt and gut grew large....and it was time to do something about it, so after saving for 2 years i finally had enough to buy a 2020 Bulls e-stream am3, this bike was picked for its large 750wh battery, Brose motor and the fox shocks. i tried the yamaha, bosch, steps 8000 motor and the steps 8000 and brose was the most natural to drive. i got a good deal on the bulls so i went with it

well i got the bike 4 weeks ago, and have put 440miles on it so far, mostly on gravel trail, fire roads, single track mtb trail in the awesome mountains around the bay area....i love it....im 44, little too fat, out of shape and have a knee and back that might crap out at any moment. but this bike has allowed me access to trails i never thought i could do. i have ventured further assured that lvl 3 or lvl4 could get me home fast should a joint start to get painful.

i am in a much better shape than 4 weeks ago, and with this COVID19 i am able to get some hours to my self biking around.

the only thing that bugs me is the fact i just found out the Brose motors have a high failure rate, i wonder if that goes for the 2020 s-mag as well ?

Welcome !

Probably higher than most of the others - just . Certainly more publicised than the others just because there are so many out there due to the specialized bikes. Odds are though that your's won't actually fail. So I wouldn't worry about it and just enjoy the bike like you have been ! :)
