Anyone know of any? a 500ml bottle is just a little to big to fit as it fouls the piggyback reservoir on my FOX X2 shock

Please dont say wear a Camel back (someone will though, there is always one lol) i dont do back packs, all my kit is fitted to the bike

I know you can get a Fidlock but im not paying £30 for one and i want to keep my standard side entry bottle cage

I know Decathlon and other places do 350ml Elite bottles but i want to carry as much as water as possible on the bike so has to be a 450ml bottle

Waterbottle waist belt?
runners ones are around £6 incl 500ml bottle (Decathlon/sports direct)

or

Just down a couple of pints before your ride, and have water ready at the end?

I'm 100% with you on the "no backpack" thing... fucking horrible things to ride a bike in. (but I think the same about jackets)

No waist belts, i carry the bare essentials on my body when riding (phone, bank card, car key) hate having stuff strapped to me when riding

I already drink plenty before riding but its always good to have a drink handy halfway through a ride on a hot day

Get a YT Thirstmaster 3000 bottle. It’s only 133mm tall and carries 500ml of liquid, fits in the stock cage with the X2, great quality and looks. Been there, done that.

Have you actually tried one?
I find a 500ml bottle sat to the side leaves me completely free to ride as if carrying no bag at all.
It also completly eliminates all the sweaty horribleness bags create.
The belt also holds my breeks up when they're wet/covered in mud and weigh 3x what they would dry/clean.

Another option (if you have pockets) is a folding waterbottle from the likes of Nukeproof etc.
a bit bulky to start with but once you've drunk some it rolls up smaller.
These can also be frame fittted with an enduro strap

Ive been searching for a solution to this piggy back issue taking up water bottle space too. The YT solution looks like the simplest and cheapest...shame I didn't find that until today lol
I tried the wolftooth b-rad solution but it moved the bottle into contact with my legs.
I've just ordered the Canyon double bottle ..two 450ml bottles.. hopefully that works. If not I'm getting the YT bottle.

Cheers guys

Dont like having anything strapped to me so waist belts are out

Not a fan of the double cages/side cages etc... i want my bike to look sleek and nice

The YT looks perfect @ £10 not too expensive until you get to the check out and they want £8.90 for postage!

So the hunt continues.....

I second the thought of the YT bottle. I got the 2 bottle with carbon cage kit from them about a year ago and never had any clearance issues. The second bottle I usually carry on a hip pack for longer than usual rides

The YT looks to be perfect except that they want nearly £9 to post a plastic bottle!!

I got this 350ml one in preparation of getting a Fox with a reservoir. It’s the only small bottle I found that has insulation:

I know you dismissed the Fidlock on cost basis, but it really is a great bit of kit - I have them on all my bikes, and cant be beaten for when space is an issue.

Any pics? It didn't fit on my Levo with the super deluxe.

It fits with my DPX2, The Super Deluxe RCT has a huge reservoir so that may be the problem. You should try the YT 4000 bottle, it allows more space since it is 20mm shorter, carries 150cc more liquid and uses the same magnetic mount of the Fidlock 450. I have both.

This is how I solved the space issue on a 2018 Levo, turn the shock upside down and let the piggyback point out to a side. I was initially quite concerned if it would interfere with my leg but after 1000 miles I have not hit it once.
