Just put a 2nd hand Galfer 223mm rotor in the front yesterday and did a quick lap of my local trail. Once bedded the power is a very noticeable improvement from the 203mm Sram Centerline. I'm aware that Sram Codes aren't known for their raw stopping power like Shimano Saints but the 223mm seems to level the playing field but without sacrificing modulation.

The post mount setup was a bit tricky and I needed to experiment with a few different mounts / washers until I found an arrangement where the waves of the rotor cleared the caliper body but didn't leave overhanging pads surface. I couldn't find a 223mm rotor adapter online so if you're planning to run a similar setup be prepared for a bit of trial and error.

I didn't notice a bit of juddering from the brakes but I'll resurface the pads and rotors then re-bed. I also have another 223mm which I'll put on the back tonight and hopefully get it fit with the parts I have.

More to come!
