2025 Orbea TL weight???

I hear all about weight on the TL being light but is 44lbs light for a SL bike. My 2019 Levo Expert weighs 47.3 lbs? So the weight of a good night out makes it a SL? Am I missing something. Then to give up on the full power for that is even more mind boggling.

Did you mean the SL or the LT? TL is sort of neither one nor the other.

44lbs or 19.95kg is about as light an emtb as you are likely to be able to buy. I think that one of the Lapierre bikes is even lighter than that. Lapierre invite you to treat it as a normal mtb when the battery is removed. If I remember correctly, it was the e-Zesty and with battery it weighs 18.4kg (40.6 lbs).

You really need to test ride one to see whether it's worth sacrificing the cost of a night out to get one.

I would like to try one of the lightweight emtbs, but to get that low weight, usually the motor torque and the battery capacity are lower. I might like the riding experience, I may not. But until I see a demo day somewhere within easy reach, I'm unlikely to find out. I'm really happy with my full fat 23.6kg (with pedals and heavier tyres than standard).
