Howdy all,
I don't think I've been doing a great job of checking my frame bearings, just removing the shock and seeing if everything moved smoothly, which it always seemed to be. Having taken out the pivot bolts from the link I found that 4 of the 6 bearings felt rough when I rotated them so I replaced them.
I thought I'd check the bottom bracket pivot next but have had trouble removing the bolt. The bolt frees up fine initially but after a couple of rotations it stiffens up until it needs a lot of torque to turn. I don't know how much but definitely more torque to turn than the 18mn I used when putting it back in again. I'm guessing that's not normal? Anyone know why it might be happening? Should it break free from whatever it's binding on if I use more force or am I a risk of breaking something?
Thanks!
