Bike / Product Year: 2020
Manufacturer SRAM
Model Eagle XX1 12 speed 52T XG-1299 Rainbow Cassette
Asking Price £225
Location Aberdeen, Scotland
Description I've just upgraded to a SRAM T-Type Transmission, so I have a whole SRAM XX1 AXS drivetrain ready to sell...
**EDIT** - I have sold the derailleur and shifter, so just the cassette and chains left.
XX1 'rainbow' 52T cassette
2 x XX1 'rainbow' chains
Sag setup tool, box
The cassette has been run with 2 chains, being swapped over every 120-150 miles. The chain gets a deep clean in the ultrasonic bath at work in a mild degreaser, and comes out looking pretty clean. Every 250 miles or so, the cassette gets the same treatment! They are cleaned normally and lubed up after every ride.
The cassette has done around 850 miles. The rainbow colouring goes on the 6/7/8/9 cogs within about 50 miles of use... and there is no notable wear to the teeth.
When I ran my original 50T XX1 cassette, I got over 2500 miles out of it before it got to 0.75% on the chain wear tool. I reckon with 2 chains, I'd be getting over 4000 miles out of this cassette.
Please bear in mind I've been running on a Levo SL, at about 30% assistance 95% of the time... so probably not much more torque going through it than someone with a decent set of legs on an analogue bike! I also don't shift under load.
Out of the 850 miles, I'd guess at least 400 of them have been on roads or cycle paths as I spent a lot of last year riding 'sensibly' after breaking my ribs twice!!
