I wanted an aluminum frame, planning an off white front triangle, black chain stays and off white seat stays in conjunction with black frame protectors up front likely custom cut, if I can find the right material. Not sure if I'll have it powder coated or painted though - I'm lucky enough to have access to both thru work.
I've swapped out the bars and stem for RF, put my old super comfy WTB saddle on and a pair of Crank Bros Mallets.
Going either fox 36 or DVO up front with a coil in the rear. New brakes, which is a must as my V-Brakes were better 15 years ago. Magura Trail sport maybe, those look intriguing and the price isn't bad at all. Tires gotta go as well.
I've bought a number well equipped rigs in the past and just ended up swapping out a lot of parts, thought I'd start low this time and add what I want.
