I'm thinking of trying out a mullet setup and found a 27.5 wheelset. Will these work?

DT Swiss XM551 wheeler, 27.5, 40mm rims, DT Swiss 350 hubs, Superboost rear hub (157mm), 2.8 Maxxis Recon Tires

I am running a 2020 Levo Comp Mullet. The way I see it, the motor helps you going up so much, you can set it up for going down if and wont loose much elsewhere.

Rear Tyre is Eddie Current 27.5x2.8
Front Eddie Current 29x2.6
FlipChip in High
Raised Fox Rythm to 170mm using Fox Airshaft and 5 air tokens (I'm a heavy person)
Also added largest air token to Fox Shock in the rear Rear
Ohh and changes stock Shimano brake pads for Jagwire as stock are insanely noisy

No more pedal strikes than stock. Bike is so much better going down the gnarly fast. This bike is like a monster truck as it plows over the rough stuff rather than finesse its way over it. Tyres are awesome in gnarly stuff up and down.

Actually compared a stock one back to back and count believe how nervous and dangerous it felt going down fast stuff.

And I cant seem to find any negatives going up or in the switchbacks. There probably is a difference but not something that hinders its climbing ability

wheelbuilder.com can make a bulletproof DTSwiss 27.5 wheel for you for about $500. I cant seem to find any other source for a Boost Center Lock Microspline Hub, 27.5 Enduro wheel (thats the spec on a 2020/21 Levo Comp, If you have any other model specs are different). Plus DT ratchet Hubs and competition spokes are a great value and really reliable.
