Hi,

I spotted a post a week or so ago somewhere showing where the frame needed filing to fit the 2021 Float X2 to a Kenevo, I can't for the life of me find it again.

I'm hoping someone who has done the mod is able to post a pic.

Thanks in advance!

I have just fitted one to a 2020 Kenevo. Checked the clearance have 2-3mm at the tightest point without any modifications.

i've mounted a Fox X2 on my Kenevo 2020 and it touches slightly the frame. I don't know why this is happening, it seems the frame are not all equal because i've two friends who have the same setup: Kenevo S3 size + X2 2020 and they don't have any issues.

The shock is 230x65, and i've bought a reducer to transform it to 230x62.5, hope this will solve this issue.

As you can see in both images, there're two point where it interferes. My concern where the frame touch the shock cage, it is less than a milimeter. (The other point is the bolt that supports all cables but it wasn't so tighten so it is solved).

Hi, some people do experience this. In some cases it’s so marginal a slight file on the frame will sort it out

It’s posted on the Kenevo Owners thread but probably better to use this thread regarding X2 fitment

my S4 cleared with a 62.5 stroke
It was so close that I filed it anyways
Wouldn’t want to damage an expensive shock or frame

my friends s3 had rub at bottom out with a 65 stroke

Is it possible to insert 1 mm spacer to the top mount? So that the shock move a little bit away from the frame

What do i need for a change? Only the x2? Can i put it in with the 230x65? New screws or anything? I am currently running on flipchip high. Does it make differences from the geometry with 230x65 instead of 62,5? Thanks

Only the X2. A few Kenevos touches slightly the frame so be aware in case you have the same issue i had. I solved it with a 1mm or less spacer.

If you use the 230x65 it will transform the rear suspension to aprox. 187 mm instead of 180mm that is why i put a 2.5mm reducer. I recommed using the flipchip in low position and use the reducer to maintain the original bike geometry.

I have 2 friend who uses 230x65 and they love that setup.

ok perfect thank you, and your friends are driving the flipchip with the 230x65 setup in low position?

Is this the reducer that you installed?

There is no point in add a spacer. Just setup the shock to only use 62.5 mm of travel and in an extreme case you now have a buffer instead of bottoming out and shock loading the frame and linkages.

Where did you fit the 1mm spacer? I cant see how it would fit between the frame and shock bushing.
