Levo Gen 2 2019 Levo motor replacement

Purchased new in April of 2020, my Levo alloy has started to make grinding noise. Of course I'm outside the 4 year warranty on the motor and even with the 20% off specialized is offering on a new $1,200 motor, it's a tough one to accept when my mileage has been low (500 miles)
While I've investigated my LBS and other LBS's around the Phoenix AZ area, no one repairs them, just replace. I considered buying a new full-power bike (I also have a Trek Fuel eXe) but then what to do with what once was a $3,500 bike that is now useless without a functioning motor, so I've bit the bullet and will have my LBS install a new $960 motor...

I've read countless posts from others here with the problem, so I know I'm not alone. I purchased a Specialized as I was hoping for reliability from one of the big brands...

Ugh.

suspect they will repair for a lot less than a new one, and potentially better than new if you get the "upgrade service"

Thanks James.
I assume I'd need to remove the motor and ship to Nashville?

I'll have to do some digging to find the receipt, but it was roughly a kilobuck. This includes sourcing a replacement crank because mine was severely pitted, the regular rebuild labor and parts, and Bearingman's upgraded parts.
Thanks. No need to dig for a receipt. The rough estimate is fine as I determine if I should replace, or repair. Thanks again!

I am in the UK so its a different shop. The first time I had a brand new motor upgrade service while you wait with a 2 week ahead appointment. After that I had some warranty work on it done, and that was done via post.
The motor is easy to remove just be careful with some of the fiddly wires. I'd take pictures too before removal.
