Getting ready to purchase 2019 Levo!

Who has the 700 battery?

I am a bigger guy 210lbs.
Is the 700 worth the $$ for normal rides?
Anyone get a dealer to swap as an upgrade when new or give some credit $$?
Is there a market to sell a new 500 if I bought the 700 outright?

Thoughts ?
Thanks

The feedback from most members who have upgraded, is that it is the one modification they would do above any other if buying the bike again - I would say if you are a bigger guy then even more so as bigger means going through a battery quicker!

Some dealers do deals on upgrading at point of purchase. If you have to buy an additional battery to do the upgrade, I would be tempted to hold on to the 500 as having 2 batteries is actually very useful.

Welcome @mclydeg! You'll have lots of fun with the new bike.

I'd recommend the larger battery, whether as part of the Expert model or an upgrade to a lower model with the 500Wh battery. I'm about 50 lb. lighter than you and bought a 700Wh battery for my Comp Carbon to go longer, farther and faster without "range anxiety". It will be even more beneficial at your weight. The 500Wh battery is resigned to the shelf. The larger battery weight penalty is small, only 1.5 lb., so there's no need to swap it even for shorter rides.

I did a 42.5-mile ride with 2600ft of climbing yesterday on my Expert (700w battery), came back and had 22% left (phew!), it would have been a hard slog home if I had the 500W battery!

Bigger battery is always nice but fortunately I have not needed it yet. I have the 500 and last ride was 26 miles in the foothills above Boise, gains of 3k ft. and still had 35% battery. I weigh 200lbs and ride mostly in eco.

Out of interest what do you have eco set to? On mine I have eco at 15/30, trail 30/60 and turbo 60/100

Just giving you another option.
Even with 700wh some people want more?
752wh total battery with a booster fitted.
You’ll love the new bike?
