Levo Gen 2 2018 vs 2021

I'm looking to purchase a Levo Turbo HT and was looking through the usual classifieds.I then discovered I can get a 2012 model for just over £2000(December delivery).I was lookng at a 2018 at £2300+ and I asked the seller why it was more than a new one.He replied that the spec was better,is this true?

Post up the specs from the seller so we can see what components he has changed on the bike.

But in general, components are replaceable and also wear out; frames can be damaged (hence why a lot of people focus on new bikes only (also there is the 0% finance these days)); the motors have changed significantly from the older 1.2/1.3 to the 2.1 which behave very differently.

Plus you'd get warranty on the 2021 even if second hand (Specialized's motor warranties are transferrable between owners, I believe - someone correct me if I'm wrong).

Hi, apart from the points that have already been made about new vs old vs upgrades , it may of course be that the 2018 model is a COMP and you are comparing prices for the base model?

No they are the same base model.
