Does anyone know what the bearing numbers are for the rear hub on 2018 Turbo Levo - spec says they are Specialized alloy disc, sealed cartridge bearings, 12x148mm, 10-/11-speed freehub, 28h, rims are Roval - all of which tells me nothing. Not sure if wheels are same as for Kenevo - other post today with same issue...

Here you go, a copy and paste from another thread on what I have done to mine. I did not replace the freehub bearing and you have to make sure your preload on your new bearings is only slight. Sometimes it’s just the lock but loose causing play. I did the below at 2000km and now I have put a further 3000km on the new bearings, and all is still sweet.

Info

Went to the local bearing shop yesterday and got a pair of NTN 6903 LU bearings for $19aud, and being Jap, they would be high quality. They have a double lip seal both sides.
The original bearings were XERO 6903 LBLU and only had the double lip seal on the outside LU (orange colour) with a single lip on the inside LB (black colour)
If the single seal lip fails then it’s open to ingress of moisture and dust. This is likely with hi speed hi temp bearings. With the dual lip seal, if the inner lip fails, which is the most likely, then the tougher outer lip still provides a positive seal.

I punched out the bearings from the back with a punch. Hit the new ones in with a piece of wood and a socket of the right size.

Specialised had offered to do a warranty on the bearings as they had only done 2000km. They do not usually warranty bearings as they are considered a wear item and therefore not covered.
I chose to do it myself as the local dealer is a pain to work with and I know quality bearings went back in. Minimal cost minimal fuss, rated to 22000rpm and spins for days.

Cheers mate, good info. Put my wheel into the shop where I bought bike, thought I’d give warranty a shot, but suspect that they will claim wear and tear. Anyway asked the tech to save the ld bearings so I can get the numbers from them, but you’ve already got them . Good to know for future, have you had any issues with free hub pawls so far ?

No issue with the freehub prawns or bearings after 5000km of torture.
The bearings are a common size and are cheap from most bearing suppliers. If you can get Jap made bearings with the LU seal either side, you’re on a winner. Don’t let the shop overcharge you for special bearings from Specialized. They are crap and not needed when cheap better quality bearings are readily available.

Yep , original spec will be cheaper version. Will follow your suggestion. Do you know if front wheel bearings are same size ?

Quick update. Specialized decline to replace knackered wheel bearings, as they consider it to be wear and tear. The shop I bought the bike from (Evans) wouldn’t even give a discount. It was the wheel brgs, free hub ok. Now it seems head bearings knackered, really rough. Will have to try and find dimensions for these.

Let me know what bearings you find
Rear wheel bearings 6903LLU you can get LLUMax which has additional seals. I think the nomenclature for bearings may be slightly different to that in Australia
