I bought this October 2017 ex-demo from Pearce Cycles in Ludlow. It’s stock except for a warranty replacement battery (Nov 2018), which is the larger capacity 504wh model (only 26 charge cycles) a new Purgatory rear tyre, and a Specialized TCD Display, which I bought primarily as it shows which mode you’re in/remaining battery. But it also does all the usual stuff; speed, distance, etc. and can link to an HRM. I will also supply an unused Purgatory tyre, and a new chain. The latter was last replaced in October, as was the rear cassette, so these should be good for a while yet. The Fattie tyres although great for dry/medium conditions, are no good for winter mud imo, and I fitted Specialized Hillbilly 2.6” last winter (which I’m keeping as my FSR is also 27.5+ , but I’d recommend them, or something similar, if you ride in the mud. It can be run tubed or tubeless (currently set up as former). The wheels can also be changed to 29” if preferred (not supplied. Great bike and only selling as have now upgraded to a Levo FSR (thanks Jake
The bike’s in good condition, with usual marks from use, nothing serious. As well as changing chain, and cassette, I fitted a new electric harness (supplied under warranty), brake pads, tubes etc. and have kept it well maintained. It has one ‘problem’; recently the last remaining 10% led has gone red, even when there is 100% charge. I checked with Gary at Pearce Cycles and he contacted Specialized who said it was an LED display problem, not a problem with the battery itself, which still retains 100% charge, the 2 red leds at 20% still come on, and the last led still flashes when down to 10%.
I’m open to reasonable offers. Can be collected from Brighton, or, as I have the box from new bike, I could ship. I think it cost £25 (+ insurance) to deliver FSR to me, so I guess it would be about the same.
Thanks Martin
