Well, temptation has finally got the better of me today and i hired a Trek Powerfly 7 LT at Cannock Chase to see if i liked the idea of getting one.......

Brilliant fun , had a great 3hrs riding, i know theres no huge climbs but even Cardiac Hill is a breeze, my mate enjoyed it also because i was at the top of climbs before him, so he hadnt got to wait for me to slowly come up then collapse for 10mins.

Definitely sold on the idea now..... and i still feel that i had a good workout also.

Congratulations you have successfully past module 1 of the course.
You will have to pass the following modules to for a successful outcome in eMtb ownership.

Research eMtb brands and relevant eMtb literature.
Test ride all available brands of eMtb’s
Decide on which eMtb is right for you
Sell some spare body organs to raise
funds for eMtb purchase.
Buy eMtb and enjoy
Learn to cope with the prejudice against eMtb with snappy comebacks to eMtb haters whist out on the trail.
Convince your mates to buy an eMtb.
On successful completion of this course, you will have less money, less time, know who your real friends are and have a constant grin from ear to ear.

Convincing your other half that it is all part of a healthy lifestyle takes some doing. We know it is healthy, but try telling people!

Therefore, and whilst doing all the above with which I thoroughly concur, also develop a slightly thicker skin, and learn to smile whimsically whilst remembering your last ride, and not giving a toss about what anyone else thinks.

You'll find that cardiac is actually a time to rest, before hitting high voltage at full steam, not blowing out your arse and resting on the roots for 10m before jelly legs into high voltage.

And that's just one spot. It opens up so much more. See you on the trails. I've got the cheesy grin, odd coloured helmet and a levo.

Congratulations, now that you get the idea of how this awesome technology works go to the Sea Otter Classic at Laquna Seca CA in April and you can demo for free almost a dozen brands over challenging terrain and have all your questions answered!

That's a little far for me.... Probably nearly the cost of an ebike ?

I did the same in August... got bitten, chose the desired weapon of choice and have not regretted a single moment of that decision. So much so I bought a second bike at Christmas which my son will ride as he was bugging me to ride mine all the time!

Not choosen my weapon yet.... I'm being made redundant in April after 24 years of service so thought I'd treat myself then.
You have a nice window of time till then to ride and research to come to your decision.
Just keep in mind there may be a delivery wait for some bikes.
