Rail (750Wh) T Type Chainring and chainguide dilemma.

The issue isn't just the chainline. The XX chainring has an aluminum spyder that hits the inside of the chainguide by where it mounts to the motor.

Rail (750Wh) T Type Chainring and chainguide dilemma.

Just thought I would update this since I finally found a solution. Haven't got the part yet but it should work. The T Type Rails all ship with a 55mm chainline from Trek. The Trek part number for the XX T Type chainring is an OE part that is the same as the SRAM 11.6218.059.000. Trek...

Rail (750Wh) T Type Chainring and chainguide dilemma.

Unless Trek changed the frame or is using a different chainring they are send out T Types at 57mm chainline. The trek website lists this for the chainring "SRAM Chainring XX for Bosch eMTB direct mount, 34 tooth, Transmission, SRAM part number 00.6218.036.001 " There is no SRAM part number...

Rail (750Wh) T Type Chainring and chainguide dilemma.

I have a 9.9 Gen 3 AXS that I swapped out the AXS Eagle to T Type XX. The issue I am having is with chainline and the chainguide. The new T Type chainring sram # 11.6218.059.000 is the only T Type chainring for the Bosch motor. It is marked 55mm chainline. I believe the bike came with sram #...

Trek rail rear shock upgrade ideas please

The concept should make for a great ride on the Rail with its suspension design. Benefit of a coil ride but adding air spring for a more progressive ratio.

Rail (750Wh) Pulled the trigger..9.8 XT Gen 4

Reach on a large in low position went from 465mm to 487mm which is a 22mm longer reach. That will be noticable for me especially when going back and forth to my Remedy at 461mm. Wheelbase went from 1243mm to 1278mm so a 35mm increase. That may or may not be noticeable. I am guess it wont...

Rail (750Wh) Pulled the trigger..9.8 XT Gen 4

The Levo is XO1 mechanical so it is a higher spec but its mechanical. AXS is so much better. Well and its a Levo so that parts sucks. Trek rules and specialized drools.

Rail (750Wh) Pulled the trigger..9.8 XT Gen 4

The Rail is a great bike. My Gen1 got stolen. I got a Gen3 as a replacement. I hope I like the ride even though its a slightly longer wheelbase.

Trek rail rear shock upgrade ideas please

So I bought a TTX1 air for my Gen 1 rail. Mounting hardware got delayed and the bike got stolen that week. Sucks but here I am. I bought a new Gen 3 Carbon Rail size Large and the mounting hardware for the TTX. I took the TTX apart to shorten the stroke and put in the wrong spacer. The...

Rail (750Wh) Rail Gen 3 / 4 Max tire widths?

My Gen 1 Project One Rail was stolen last week so I am trying to figure out replacing it and setting everything up similar to my old one. I will be getting a 9.8 or 9.9 with the carbon frame. What is the max rear tire width that will fit on the newer Rail? My previous rail I was able to run...

Fox Float X2 mounting on Rail?

Any issues with frame clearance? Looks like it can almost hit the seat tube.

Trek rail rear shock upgrade ideas please

The TTX2 fits? Ohlins doesnt show it as fitting. Maybe that is because the TTX1 works better with the smaller air can being more progressive.

Trek rail rear shock upgrade ideas please

I have a 2020 Rail 9.8 and have been going down this rabbit whole for awhile now. I run a push coil and valve kit in my Lyrik since day 1. I am very happy with it. I initially wanted a coil to replace the shock. The more I look at everything for this frame geo its just not very...
