I reckon that would work too to be fair although I'm not sure oil would get past the wipers to lube the seals. Also I don't have the space or forward planning nature to turn my bike over an hour before a ride. The lube definitely sucks gunk out when you cycle the forks, and this stuff would just...
Get well soon Nick. You're a tough cookie by the sound of it. I dislocated my shoulder last year and was riding alone. Fortunately, it was a trail centre so loads of good Samaritans around to help. As I'm also a back country ski tourer, I spend a lot of time thinking about and trying to mitigate...
I use it on dropper, Forks and shock too. Just before loading the bike on the car. As well as lubing the chain. I cycle them few times, then when I get to the trail wipe it off. I find it helps draw the crap out of the seals from the previous ride and softens them, so less stiction. It might be...
There is a low light setting I noticed. Did you try that? Failing that, enable pro tools and increase the exposure a little. Not too much though as it will end up very blurry.
Just as an aside folks. If you're adding your location to the map I wouldn't place it directly on your street. A few years ago bike thieves were using mapmyride to locate where people lived and using ride pics to target bikes. Maybe just place it far enough away to make targeting pointless
Glad you got it sorted Dirk. These expensive things we learn along the way. I carry a spare hanger now for my Haibike but two years later an no issue. No doubt it'll be something else I don't have a spare of next time.
Yes thanks Gary. I forgot to mention I'd used copious amounts of threadlock to solve the problem. Surprised at how little threadlock is used on new bikes. I've also had to do the stem, some brake disc bolts and even a pivot bolt.
Also, on my new Haibike I've had to tighten the hanger mount bolt 4 times since new, because torquey vibration changing gear has a habit of loosening it. Is it still tight? I'd say it got caught in/knocked into the spoke. I went through 3 derailleurs in two weeks this way once to find that the...
Ken you're a dude! That's a decent pace in the slop. My home trail is Cannock and our local Septuagenarian is called Alf. Also a bit of a celeb! There is no better advert for an eMTB. Great Vid Rob.
