I run my Gen3 Levo S4 in long setting, 29/29 (29x2.5 assegai at the rear), 180mm in front (ZEB Ultimate) in combo with Cascade long link (230x65 Fox float DPX2). Tried initially 170 in front, but it felt "unbalanced" Have not tried it with mullet setup
Maxxis Assegai 2.5" fits if you have rear link i "long" setting. Some mud guards might have clearance issues..I have a pair of SC reserve 29", and love those. Actually haven't tried the mullet setup yet, will do that👍🙄
Hi @maramouse .
I used a 29" rear wheel combined with low setting, no changes to head cup.
My weight is 80-82kg, and used a 500lbs fox SLS spring, and was happy with that.
However, the MARZOCCHI Bomber CR is not up to the task. My friend had the same setup, and we both have blown the shock oil...
I will make sure to check that while in use. It has 3mm gap between walls an charger(each sides), but at the bottom the larger have contact. Will add knobs there to allow cooling by natural convection 👍
180mm air spring in the ZEB Ultimate really made the difference in combo with the long Cascade Link. It's perfectly balanced now⚡
Wheelbase is now 1268 and BB 365 with 29" front and rear as well
Levo Gen3 (Z4) with cascade long link, Marzochi Bomber CR 230x65, FOX SLS spring (500lbs/in). ZEB Ultimate 170mm.
Low/long setting. 29" front/rear
>Next will be 180mm up front.
Rider weight 81.
Previously with stock link, I ran a Rockshox super deluxe 210x55 w/ progressiv MRP coil (450+), which...
Steve from EmBn fitted a M2-700 battery in a EVOC bag during his "
E-Bike Tour Du Mont Blanc 2019”, though without the removable battery cover.
He had to open the velcro for the rain cover pocket, which gave the extra needed space.
Check out the video at around 25:00.
Make sure they use a blue loctite and CORRECT torques. Ask them to list what exact torques that has been used and tequest the same information from Cube.
Have been riding 45NRTH Wrathchild 29*2.6 and 27.5x3 for two seasons. Amazing grip, but disappointed of the "loose" fit of the XL studs.
This winter I've used Suomi wxc Piikkisika 29x2.6 and 2.8 combined with Suomi Fat Freddie 27.5x3, and is really happy!
Hi, Really agrees with you wrt Brose vs Bosch. Had a Turbo Levo 2020 for two years, and now got a Trek Rail 9 2022. Out on my regular trail I notice that the Rail is less "punchy" and I struggle to match my older Levo. The Rail feels like it has more resistance above speed limit, less power...
Thanks for reply. The screw is original. I have tried both of the options above, together with a bike mechanic. Have not tried vinegar though 👍
If that does not work, we're considering drilling it 😳
The shock bushing is free to move (being pushed) sideways when the flange moves outward and create more space, i.e. the shock bushing and screw are free to move independently to each other...
Shock mount screw deformed against the edge of the free-hole behind the screw head?
The "flange" moves outward (blue arrow) when rotating screw ccw to loosen it.
Anyone else experienced this?
Update: The shock is free to move sideways when the flange moves outward and create more space, i.e...
Hi "Kave". Did you try out a magicshine light on you bike? I've got the Magicshine Monteer 8000s Galaxy, and wanted to try with my 2021 turbo levo (2.1 brose)..batteries for this light is 7.2v though...
I am riding with Vittoria airliners. As you mention, the riding feels different. will not go back to ride without inserts. Have not tried cushcore yet ✌️
