Hi Fuzz, Check reply here on the matter - Volspeed tuning box for Bosch gen 4 - EMTB Forums I keep riding my bike, for now all good, 700+ kms done. The thing i learned from 503 error is that just always manually shut down the tuning after the ride, then its fine :)

Yes they respond really well to any questions with detailed explanation. Yes kms are real, checked with other apps with gps :)

Great to know your feedback, I couldnt agreee more, thats completely different bike... what type of riding uve done most? Pushing hard at 40kmh+ or more conservative? Long stints on increased speed? Regarding battery life on 625 powerpack, if I run it at 35-40kmh it goes for me about 2% on 1km...

Tough, all I read is that 3rd shouldnt have any problems with tuning but if its brand new, it must have something new like 4th gen that can detect tuning?.

hard to tell, I did adjust a bit the sensor, maybe it was not in the right place. The wires are fine, connectors as well so maybe just some unlucky coincidence that later bugged the chip as well somehow..

Great news all! I got reply from Volspeed, solution was simple, connect chip in code set/deletion mode, ( wires must be connected according to manual, page 11) and I deleted the code and voila, works again ! Thus fot info for future if i get 503, gotta run it in power cycle few meters and it...

Yeah 3rd party. Yes had a manual. Also used manual on website of volspeed in english. No, didnt set any code Yes even with chip everything works, just cant activate tuning. Please note volspeed does not send chip ouside Germany...

Correct. I thought if error keeps popping up ill remove it but it disappeared even before i got email from ebiketuning what i should do...

503 yeah, they mentioned they havent had it, i followed instruction removing the chip, error didnt pop up, neither it did after few simple kiox restarts. I have emailed them again, lets see fw. 1.0.3.0
