Thanks for the advice. The washers are all the same thickness 2.9mm. Tried again pressing bearings fully home. My son got the shock in, different technique to his Dad. Will try bottom set of bearings when I have time in a couple of weeks.
I'm having a go and have run into some issues. 2020 Trance E+1.
1. After replacing the bearings in the rocker and inserting the spacer washers the shock would not fit back into the trunion mount.
I ended up pressing the bearings back out slightly so I could get it back in. Not ideal especially...
Expecting a seal on a bearing to seal the unit from mud & water is beyond belief. Is there a way of retrofitting a seal to give it some protection? Otherwise I'm pondering whether or not to get rid of it. The warranty so far for me has given me a replacement bike, 3 speed cables and now a...
My motor developed play as shown in the video after 3,500 kms. My bike was almost out of warranty. My LBS submitted a claim. Giant came back saying the problem was caused by pedal strike. They said they would replace the motor as a one time thing. Has anyone else experienced this? I now...
I have a 2020 E+1. I have similar issues after washing. It behaves itself once it dries out. Not a motor issue.
As far as weather tightness and wet riding goes bike design is barely fit for purpose IMO.
My bike is almost out warranty, I'm nervous.
I have a 2020 Trance. Different to yours where the ride control is. I find that mine misbehaves if you get the electrics wet while washing after a ride. If mine gets too wet when I turn the bike off it immediately turns back on again. Your either wait for it to dry out or pull the battery.
I'm looking to replace my bearings in my Trance E+1 soon. I've got a slide hammer blind bearing removal tool for the job. What's the strategy for doing the lower pivot in the rear triangle behind the motor? As the brake line and speed cable are threaded through the frame to the back wheel, is...
I think that Giant have made a mistake in the way they have routed this cable. It goes from the motor around the bottom of the swing-arm (along with the brake hose) and up to a hollow chain-stay tube to the back axle. It's tied with to the rear brake hose so every time the rear suspension...
