The wheelset off my Levo Expert is a claimed 1870g, but when I weighed mine, they came in right at 2000g with rim tape.
I had a set of Nobl TR37's built up with a set of Industry Nine 1/1 hubs. They came in a 1769 with rim tap. Not huge weight savings, but they're also pretty robust rims...
Mine was a leftover 2019 Levo Expert that I purchased new in April 2020. I had approximately 880 miles on the motor when it went out. I gotta say, even knowing about the motor issues, I would still choose the Levo. It's a great bike. And I got great customer service from my local shop...
Mine blew up today as well. Was climbing uphill then it just felt like something let go. I pedaled but no assist. It started making high pitched howling noises. I took mine to my local shop. They told me a week to two weeks turn around time.
I have a 2019 Levo Expert Carbon and a Creo SL Carbon Comp.
Here's what I like/dislike about the Creo SL:
Likes:
Power is smooth, almost seamless,
Virtually no motor drag riding with the power off.
Plenty of assist on steep climbs to keep up with the best of my skinny friends,
Can do 50-60...
Yep. Same rim, I believe. But definitely different hub/spoke build. As Salko notes, The Expert has the "Traverse" rim with DT Swiss 360 hub with DT Swiss Competition double-butted "Race" spokes. The wheels on the Comp have a "Traverse" rim, but use Formula hubs with DT standard "Industry" spokes.
Are you looking to replace a Shimano HG free hub (9/10/11 speed) or a Shimano Micro Spline free hub (12 speed)? The rear hub uses a standard DT Swiss 3 pawl free hub (I attached a photo of the XD free hub removed, and you can see the 3 pawl design. Note: the photo is from an article reviewing...
If you have no visible lock nut on the non-drive side, then pull off the end cap (if it doesn't come off with good pull by hand, grip "lightly" with a set of pliers to pull off). Underneath the cap you should find some way to keep the axle in place while you loosen the nut on the drive side. On...
I did some upgrades on my 2019 Levo Expert Carbon with an eye towards lightening it up a bit, because like you, I also lift mine in and out of my F-150 truck bed and hang it on the lift gate to transport. I changed out my wheels, tires, handlebar, stem, grips, crank arms, chainring, cassette...

Also, as you’re new to the sport, you’ll learn that suspension settings as well as tire pressure settings are key to how the bike feels. You want to play with settings to find what works for you too. But once you get it set up, you’ll find you’ll like the fork/shock, I’m sure.
Congratulations! Looks sweet. I have a 2019 Levo Expert I bought as a leftover at a deep discount just before Covid began in full rage. I love mine, and have done some significant upgrades since I picked it up. Like Alpman, I'm thinking of going AXS on mine soon.
My 2019 Turbo Levo Expert weighs in at 19.85kg (43.76 lbs) including the SWAT tool, water bottle cage and pedals. I've done a few things to it, including going from a 700wh battery to a 500wh model. I've also swapped out the wheels for some Nobl TR37 rims, with Industry Nine 1-1 hubs, CX-Ray...
The bolts are the same ones that hold your current 32T chainring on. And yeah I’m really happy with the 30T. Lots of long, steep climbs where I live as well, and the 30T helps me keep a higher cadence with low/med power levels while I’m climbing.
