Any luck mate?
My XT hub imploded on itself a few weeks back, don't think XT hubs are designed for Ebikes.
back in for warranty now, pricing up a pair of DT350 / DT240 hubs on some carbon rims.
Problem solved,
Did X3 things
-Tightened cassette
-greased behind the hanger
-torqued the hanger to spec.
Noise gone, think it was the cassette that was loose. Not its silent and works like a charm as shimano components do
Purchased a Norco Sight VLT 29 last week, one hell of a bike.
On the 2nd ride the cluster / rear mech started to make a clicking noise under load, only in the x3 lowest gears
I have tried the following.
- Removed the clutch & greased it
- Checked gear alignment on work stand
- Checked for...
Just got a C2 myself.
does your rear cluster / rear mech make a clicking noise in the biggest chain (51T) ring when under load?
My bike is 3 rides old, and has developed a clicking noise in the cluster / rear mech, been trying to fault find it, i've reduced tension on the clutch with no luck...
Picked up the Sight today, wow what a bike.
Straight off the bat I installed CushCore, riding in Christchurch NZ is quite rocky, bike has E13 rims which are made out of cheese, so wise investment.
Rode 36km, mix of eco / trail / boost, just getting a feel for the bike, finished up with 2 bars of...
We in strict lockdown over in NZ, the Australian system seams a lot better.
Roadies are everywhere over here too, if I put my bike on the ute and went to the trails id be grilled.
When its all said & done its only 4 weeks, got to eradicate this beast.
Thanks for that, I demo rode a Commencal meta power 29, loved the steps system, the extra range I could get from the Sight VLT is appealing, anyone ran the range extender? would make for a massive day out.
Has anyone had issues with the 630wh battery being a frame specific non shimano branded battery, any warranty issues?
Curious if you could purchase a replacement in a few years time easily.
This was some good reading, I was on the verge of getting a Trek Rail 9.8, the noise would drive me nuts, sounds like a tool box being thrown down a staircase, surely Bosch can find a fix.
The larger battery in the Rail was appealing, bike is sadly gone from my short list now.
