As I said earlier,I have two other bikes with many, many miles on that don’t look as bad as my new one.
I expect my bikes to have scratches and dings but not two weeks after purchase without any spills and nothing more extreme than local forestry trails.
Maybe I expect to much?
Just been in touch with my LBS where I bought my bike from to order the Invisiframe and to book my first service.
I informed them of the paintwork problem and the noisy motor, and have been told to send photo's which will be forwarded on to Specialized.
If and when I get an answer i'll let you...
Actually thinking about it I’m going to ring Spech dealer in the morning.
I have two other bikes, hardtail cube and a FS Trek with at least a couple of thousand miles on each(and that’s being very conservative)and after inspecting both tonight(both six year old bikes) neither has the damage to...
Mine is way worse than that, about 100 miles in. :(
Infisiframe won't be available for a while either.
The way I look at it is it's going to get scratched and damaged so I try not to worry about it,still a bit heart breaking when you've spent the amount we have.
Although my motor is way louder than I was expecting it seems to be quietening down with the more miles I put on to it,maybe they take a little while to bed in.
I’m also six foot and went for the large,it’s a very big bike but I’m old and preferred a little more room in the cockpit if that makes sense.
I’m still pondering wether I’ve made a mistake with what size bike I’ve choosen but it still feels very nimble and Iove it. :)
will have a look later.
What kind of problem are you having Paul?
Noisy motor, dodgy battery connection, the signs are not looking good for my new steed. :(
Will give that a go,thanks.
I know it's magnetic but it's like trying to put two magnets together where they just keep fighting each other, very tricky and a little annoying.
Might give my dealer a ring tomorrow or wait for the first service as mine is less than stealthy.
On a side note I’ve been for a proper play tonight at my local trail centre(Sherwood Pines)which is not exactly hard core but not bad for an hours blast and my God the bike is quick,so quick in fact...
I rode mine for the first time last night and the noise from the motor when under load is quite off putting.:(
Other than that the bike felt good but I only had half an hour on it.
Just got home with my new Carbon comp, very happy and I love the colour but it’s pissing it down so my new baby is leaning against the Aga drying off.
:(
