    Flyon Battery Life

Problem is, emtbs are all in the same segment, so its not really anything like your comparison, the only comparison is other emtbs and it seems including yourself the range is compromised, i doubt there are many people buying purely for its climbing abilities (power) of which all others will do...

    Flyon Battery Life

The dealership was amazing, but as mentioned in a previous post, out of the flyons they sold (this was January) they said they had only had a couple of buyers who hadnt come back with complaints and they were literally waiting for the phone to ring from them any minute, not least as mentioned it...

    Flyon Battery Life

Yes, 500w and a fat bike with 4.8" tyres and derestricted, couldnt believe the Flyon couldnt get remotely close and that was with being economical with the power modes.

    Flyon Battery Life

I returned my alltrail due to poor battery range, on an average ride on my old bosch haibike which would leave me with 20-30% battery, the flyon had run out, returned the flyon for a levo como and have upwards of 60% left on the same ride.

Why do people have a problem with ebikes?

Ever since I had an ebike, some 4 years now, the "thats cheating" comment is almost par for the course, bizarrely not just from other cyclists, people walking too, although thats rarer. My usual reply is, its not a competition, that usually leaves them without much more to say. I used to go on...

    Flyon Speed Sensor

I dont think there seem to be many Flyon owners here to get that support. I dont wish to be negative but on your previous thread on the subject and mentions from your lbs that it only needs to be 1mm out is going to cause you problems. My only advise is to log these episodes because if its going...

Is it too soon for a group ride?

I am with the majority of replies, much as I would like to go out with my normal group, who I know have all been doing the same as me with regard to social distancing, its just not worth the risk as anyone of them could be carriers. The only thing I have considered is a staggered ride, meet in a...

    Specialized reliability?

Just because i am offering an alternate opinion and viewpoint, doesnt mean i am on a high horse. I dont see anywhere where i mention averages either, what i said without putting words in my mouth is, sales to % of failures for all manufacturers, its not about an average, a statiscal % of returns...

    Specialized reliability?

It tells you everything you need to know with whether spesh consider they have reliability issues and selling sub standard products. What do you think a global company will do, over engineer a product at increased costs for "a small group of freaks" or live with a > 1% failure rate which costs...

    Specialized reliability?

Maybe ive been living under a rock, ive not heard of Brose issues till I came here, ironically to see if any had Flyon issues. I had a Bosch cx with no issues and 2k plus miles in all weathers, a riding friend has had 2 Bosch cx, one no issues for similar miles and still going strong with...

Just ready to pull the trigger! final doubts and fears

Tbh I am not really interested in a review or debate on what you have read, I am relating from ownership, real world experience and trying to assist with the op's question. I wanted a flyon from when I first saw one, I couldnt wait to "upgrade" from my bosch haibike. I didnt reject it for no...

Just ready to pull the trigger! final doubts and fears

January this year. I know of a friend of a friend who also returned one for range issues, by all accounts he achieved less than me. Teething problems are one thing, inherent design flaws are a separate matter, unless they have rolled out a replacement larger battery, the range issue isnt...

Just ready to pull the trigger! final doubts and fears

Ok, so on delivery the bike refused to turn on, after a trip to the dealer and them stripping down it was the main wiring harness, apparently not the first one they have also seen fail. As mentioned above, the first two assist modes were really hard work and the motor felt laboured, the biggest...

Just ready to pull the trigger! final doubts and fears

Personally stay away from the Flyon motor Haibikes, poor range and the first two modes are like peddling through treacle, I rejected mine as not fit for purpose and the dealer had no issues swapping out to a Levo Comp which I am very happy with. The dealer I used has subsequently dropped Flyon...

2019-2020 Levo (2020 Kenevo) Speed Unlock Levociraptor

Me and a friend have just ordered a Levociraptor each, we both agreed 20 mph was a sensible speed to set them at (y)

    Beta testing a Flyon!

Quite a list of problems to encounter and doesnt allow a lot of room for error if your speed sensor needs to be within 1mm tolerance and to be frank, a brake disc doesnt just suddenly warp mid ride! I really hope this is the end of your problems though :)

    Electric Scooters

This was also part of my thoughts, it wouldnt surprise me if they get a higher limit here than emtbs which makes absolutely no sense. I guess it also means manufacturers of these things getting on board and restricting them, so what happens to all to all the old unrestricted ones, nothing...

    Beta testing a Flyon!

I asked them about arrival dates of certain models whilst i was looking, as the dealer couldnt answer as they were not informed by Haibike, Haibike said they did not know, contact the dealers, actually you couldnt make it up. Just to add, its a great pity, i had wanted a flyon ever since i...

    Beta testing a Flyon!

^^^ Let alone the first two modes were like riding through treacle and if you try moving the bike backwards, you could feel heavy resistance from the motor, it really was an effort, no wonder its so hard to pedal.

    Electric Scooters

A little off emtb's topic but heard on the news today they are running some trials with the intention to legalise those battery scooters, able to use cycle lanes, restricted to 15.5mph. "Bikes" to the follow do you guys think? If you have a throttle assisted scooter I see no reason why a bike...
