How important is pedalling efficiency to your ebike? IT IS EVERYTHING! My 2 bikes, same motor, gearing, and identical batteries. 20 mile ride, 3000ft of vert. My carbon fiber Enduro with my buddy pedalling is about 40lbs less than my on my big aluminum DH Demo 29 with new geometry. End of...
Yeah Tongsheng Tsdz2 motor...it's 750 w just as powerful as Kenevo.
Battery is 450wh in the water bottle.
Yes, it is the Demo 29 DH bike. Specialized needs to make the Kenevo with that design and move on ftom the x wing. It is SOOO much better.
Looks can be deceiving..the motor is 1/4" lower then the motor on my Kenevo. I suppose if you pedal slowly through huge rocks or 12" roots then yes, it's going to bonk. I mostly ride nice trails ir road up and bomb down at 20mph so I never touch anything.
The battery is fine there but it was...
I have been riding 3 years and, although I'm riding a medium which should be too small for me, the shock combo, 3" Maxxis tires and longer chainstay on this bike makes it my all time favorite bike......
If you're still running a stock shock, I highly recommend picking up a used Ohlins TTX and...
I'll snap a few pix when I get home of the batteries crammed in there....I'm on a beach in Baja right now.
The motor is ok, I haven't ridden a levo to compare but I can't say it is bad or surges. I mostly use it to climb in 1st or 2nd level....not turbo mode.
There is a group of hackers...
Yes, exactly. It was 38lbs but then I doubled the capacity for winter. 250wh was good for a 13 mile 2500ft ride in summer but not in the cold. I'm going to add a heat pad in a week or two so maybe go back to one in the down tube and one that can be carried in h2o holder.
18 Enduro s-works, 520wh battery, 3" tires,170mm & low tech. I do have to be careful on big roots when going slow but I can remove it in 5 minutes and throw cranks on her for Whistler DH if I want!
Trying to figure out why the big boys can't be closer to 40 than 50?
