I run Hope Fortus 30s on mine. Bullet proof DH rim with lovely clicky pro 4 hubs. Just back today from a week in the french alps and they performed faultlessly
Chill day today so I took the Vitus out. My usual DH rig is an Intense M16 and the ESommet compares very favourably. Feels planted and secure plus it will get me up bits the DH bike won’t. Cracking bike this Vitus
I commute on my Vitus eSommet, at least I did before lockdown. 52km round trip.
I have two sets of wheels, one with schwalbe marathon and the other with the original Assegai.
Works a treat.
(And yes, I know it’s ugly!)
It looks better in the flesh but I kind of wish I’d splashed more cash on the next model up as that’s plain black. However the bike itself is awesome, very happy with mine

The pro mechanics in Les Gets don’t like to touch the SRAM...they don’t like them. I run Guide on my DH but both my Oranges have Hope on them. The Hope are much better
I have a long RRP on mine and now a mudhugger as I was finding the RRP wasn’t quite enough to protect me of the bike. Hoping this combo will do the trick.
Mine does double duty as a commuter and use as a full mtb. Have to say I’m not so keen on it swathed in mudguards but for the winter it’s...
I’ve had a eSommet VRS since December. It wasn’t that well packaged but the bike was unmarked and I’ve been really pleased so far. I got a second set of wheels which somehow turned into Hope Fortus and the originals have road tyres. It doubles as a commuter during the week and a proper mtb on...
