I see E8035 batteries are in the sales currently around the £350 mark. Have they improved at all? Was thinking of getting one to breathe some more life into my Canyon Neuron ON 8 which has degraded to about 70% health.
Will the new battery still do the old trick of going down to 90% health...
My bike is now 3 years old, but experienced degradation of the Shimano E8035 almost straight out of the box.
Battery health is something like 74% now and it is restricting some of my riding. Loathed to buy a new battery as I will prob upgrade to a new bike before the end of the year so I was...
Hi folks,
(FYI I’m located in the UK)
Purchased my second Canyon Neuron ON 8 about 11 months ago. I noticed the range dropping off early on so monitored the battery health on a monthly basis. It fell to 90% very early on, then dropped by 1% per month or two and now sits at 84%. It’s the...
Hi All,
Anyone able to give me the approx width of the downtube on the 2020 Canyon Neuron:on or Spectral:on?
Looking to order some heli tape to put on to give some protection for lifting over gates etc and need to order either 50mm, 75mm or 100mm width.
Thanks in advance!
Mine went down to 0 miles rapidly and shut down the other day, when I had a couple of miles and a big hill left to do.
I switched off and on then it came back showing 2 bars and I completed my ride fine.
I’m 6 foot and went with the medium as suggested by their tool. Neuron rather than Spectral though.
Feels comfortable to what I’m used to with a fairly upright riding position but everyone is different.
Be interesting to see how the new ones will be priced given the uplift in pricing for most ebikes that seems to be happening.
I think my just purchased neuron:on will do me for a couple of years unless there is something substantially better about the new ones.
Yeah it's disappointing how it goes off the boil before 20. Interesting some other brands don't.
I guess I could just set my wheel circumference to 10% smaller to achieve proper full assist to 20mph. Would be annoying for the bike display to then not show the proper speed though. Would have...
Interesting I found when the assist cut off just over 15.5mph I could pedal to about 19mph on the flat and sustain that for a couple of miles, good workout and was fairly seamless after motor dropped out.
I don't think I have the strength/stamina currently to push beyond 20mph for any distance...
Just been trying USA mode on my E8000 bike, which was previously set to EU mode.
In EU mode, some assistance was provided up to 15.9 mph. At this speed you could feel it being phased out but was easy to breeze along on the flat even in ECO mode and you could still hear the motor working.
In...
I think I read it can provide up to 2 amps, which is 4x what you usually need to charge a phone.
So should be good to power or charge anything g you can think of really.
My front light seems to last about 4 hours so not a requirement for me but I’m sure I’ll think of something to charge!
First 25km was road, fairly flat 70% eco, 30% trail. Rest was gravel type terrain, about 600ft of climbing so not especially hilly, a few boggy mud sections. Half eco, half trail. Tried the boost a few times.
Much much better than I was expecting on range.
Q for you - sure this had been covered elsewhere but I can't find it.
Is STUnlocker and a Bluetooth connection all I need to use this functionality? Or do I need a Shimano PCE1/2 interface.
Bike is being delivered next week or two and has E8000 motor and E7000 display.
