I would not say anything about DT Swiss ratchet durability based on experiences about chinese knock offs. But as said, 24T has been designed for ebikes and it is stronger than 54T version. I have 24T on my ebike and 36T&54T on my normal bikes and I think I will keep it that way.
Fast engangement is not really needed in roadbike. In addition, 54T has more drag than e.g. 18T. I have 54T on my MTB, 24T (hybrid version) on my EMTB and 36T on my roadbike. Quite optimal IMHO. I might still change from 36T to 18T in my road bike just to try it out...
I hope you already solved this, but usually it is better/easier to route that cable externally (motor - display) to verify if that is faulty. After that it makes more sense to drop the motor and replace the cable.
I am planning change my rear rear derailleur cable as I think it is not moving as freely as it should. Do you know if cable has housing all the way from gear lever to derailleur? I was thinking I could just remove the old cable and install a new one to existing housing without e.g. dropping...
This is true, everything on bike's front end has effect to handling, e.g. slackness, stem length&angle, handlebar rise&width&sweep and so on. However, I see that it is completely ok to change those elements a bit to get bike feel better for you. Setup from bike factory is typically not exact...
Are they actually longer? 2020 Shimano equipped Jam2 geometry seems to be identical to 2019 versions. 2020 Bosch versions have shorter effective top tube and wheelbase but longer reach when compared to 2019 models. Go figure?
I am currently riding with 70mm stem on my Jam2. Stock 55mm made bike feel a bit short so I took 70mm version which I already had from my previous projects. Bike feels good, although 60mm or 65mm could be optimal for my type of driving. Longer stem makes steering a bit slower and makes it...
I have the same issue with my charger on 2019 Jam2. However, dealer was aware of this issue and is waiting for a new batch of chargers from the vendor. My charger will be replaced as soon as dealer has new ones to deliver.
I too would like to have some detailed info about battery removal. My Jam2 9.6 carbon frame is making annoying creaking noise during driving which disappears when I loosen those 2 big battery screws a bit. I would like to take battery out check what needs to be oiled etc. to get rid of the...
