Clips or flats, it’s totally subjective to you the rider. Try them both and see how you feel. Give each one at least 2-3 rides and you will figure it out. A compromise is a one sided flat pedal with an spd on the other side. The best of both worlds.. You be the judge.
Specialized is trying to be the Ferrari of the bike world. Unlike Ferrari, they do offer some affordable versions of their top bikes. A Chevrolet Corvette is much more affordable than a typical Ferrari or McClaren and gives nearly the same performance. The bike world is similar IMHO. Specialized...
I get what you're saying. My clockwork mtb friends don't have emtbs do I cant realistically ride with them. There aren't many emtbs in Phoenix, Arizona so I ride mainly by myself and I'm usually pretty happy to do that. I call my self a mountainbiker and can usually roll with regular mtb's or...
If you can afford one, you can't go wrong with a Levo 19 or 20. Yes large sounds right. Good idea is to test ride or demo the large and extra large and decide for yourself.
I agree with everything that everyone has said. I think of riding bikes like I think of food. We all like to eat. We also like different things to eat and even at different times. So that old saying" different strokes for different folks" rings true to me. I do want both analog and ebike to...
I think riding the analog bikes keep me from thinking I am Superman compared to the analog riders I rip by when I'm on my Emtb. Here in Arizona, emtb's are still a rarity so mostly analog mtb's on the trail. Most of my riding buddies are still on analog bikes so I ride analog at least once a...
The downside to buying used, is there is no warranty and sometimes you don't know the full history of the bike. That's sad the prices are definitely a lot cheaper and I believe if you could find a turbo levo for $2500 USD that had the motor replaced under warranty, you'd be doing yourself A...
65 years old now. Started riding Mtb's in 1986 when there was no suspension but your tires. Just bought a 2020 turbo Levo comp and it makes me feel like a little kid again. I like having the power of me and the 250 watt motor make me as fast or faster than any local pro on a manual mtb. People...
I agree that emtb s are a blast. But I also think that I will ride my trek fuel ex 27 lb manual bike at least once a week with non-ebike friends. It makes you appreciate your ebike and reveals your true fitness. I try to ride my 2020 levo comp in eco with an occasional burst of trail at the end...
I just got the 2020 TL Levo Alu comp. it As the 700 Wh battery and weighs 50 pounds. The 2019 carbon comp with 500Wh battery is about 3 1/2 pounds lighter but has less range and would cost me $300 USD more, I rode them back to back and pick them up one at a time and honestly the difference...
That sounds like a good deal to me, for me my local dealer was only willing to go 6300 on the 2019 carbon comp . I got the 2020 and I've written up twice and I have no regrets. It's a good bike either way
Unless there of been no changes, I am impressed that there of been no leaks of the information on the Kenevo. I just bought a 2020 TL Alu Comp last nite.
It would be very useful if we could develop a checklist for members for what to do and check when buying a new bike before leaving with the new bike. So far I have:
1. Get pairing code
2. Set up Mission Control
And......?
Thanks for the informed opinion. I am leaning toward the 2020 Alu Levo Comp. I believe the previous 2019 noisy motor issues should been dealt with and the RS Lyrik fork is 1 cm bigger diameter and e specific. Also, range anxiety should not be an issue with 700 wh battery. The only drawback is an...
I can get the 2019 Levo carbon comp for $6300 USD and the 2020 Alu Levo Comp for $6000 USD. I like the lower weight (1.8lbs) of the Carbon but it only has a 500 wh battery. The Alu Comp has the 700wh battery. The carbon comp (discontinued for 2020) has a 34 Fox Rhythm Ebike fork and Fox DPS...
I'm wondering if because specialized sells so many Levo's, if the complaints of motor failure are due to so many being sold. Perhaps other lower volume bikes and motors have problems too but the number of owners is so small that we don't often hear about their issues. I just Demo'd a Giant...
