    I should have bought a 2018 eOne Sixty 900E

I think the main reason for dropping di2 for new eOne model is that there is no support for 12-speed Shimano di2...yet . And 12-speed is main stream for all 2020 (e)mtb bike models.

    Official Merida eOne-Sixty thread

I have read about problems with battery cover, but I made new battery cover from carbon just to reduce weight. Now the battery cover with straps weights around 30g compared to over 300g with the original one. My bike weights currently with pedals around 20.8kg.

E8000 custom battery as a spare?

Hi! Maybe one idea to make custom battery would be to buy Focus Jam2/Sam2 internal battery and modify this. At least it would have all necessary circuits so that you would not get any error codes for not being a Shimano battery.

    Shimano BT-E8035 battery weight reduction

Hi! Normal Shimano BT-E8035 battery weights 2.9kg. I wonder if it would be possible to remove 50% of "cells" from this battery to cut battery weight to half? Has someone tried this and could this be new battery segment for Shimano for riders using eco-mode and try to minimize ebikes total...

Orange Alpine 6 E vs Surge

I got rubber mat (1mm thick) from local store. Then used scissors to make needed parts and finally using Loctite glue to put all together ?

Orange Alpine 6 E vs Surge

Hi! I made an improvement to my Orange Alpine 6 E: replaced the battery cover with a rubber one. Benefits: + Almost 400g weight saving + No tools required to remove battery + No holes, so mud cannot get in to charging port Patent pending ?

Orange Alpine 6 E vs Surge

Yes, very happy! Can't wait for next ride with it  Yes, the appearance of the bike divides opinions, but I like it ;)

Orange Alpine 6 E vs Surge

Suspension is super smooth and Shimano XT Di2 shifting is very accurate and fast. It climbs better than EOne Sixty. Steering is very accurate, maybe also due to tyre width (2.5" front, 2.4" back) that is much narrower than on Eone Sixty.

Orange Alpine 6 E vs Surge

Hello! Thanks for good feedback! It took long time to find my next bike after Merida Eone Sixty 800. My new bike is Orange Alpine 6 E Factory. It feels much faster and slacker compared to Eone Sixty.
