They look decent once covered up.
Ive drilled a 3mm hole in mine for access, as taking the grommet in and out every ride weakened it to the point it eventually started falling out and being lost on rides.
I wonder if you got a later part number? As you can see from the image, mine came with it.
I cant see it being of any value anyway, just adds extra weight, i wouldn't waste my time buying and fitting it.
Might be of value to some folk pal. I don't have wiring dramas anymore, although i do still hate trying to fit the motor back in if i have to drop if for any reason.
Morning, thanks for the reply.
The one in the image is the new (to me) shock that hasn't arrived with me yet.
It was setup for a different bike, so will be delivered as per the picture with no other bushings.
I'm trying to ascertain what i need to buy to make it fit mine which was a DPS as...
Fox DPS to FOX X2.
Hi folks, I’m looking to fit a 2024 Fox X2 in place of my Fox DPS and wonder what the bottom mounting hardware is like.
Will it just fit as it is? Or do I need some kind of dedicated bushing?
This is how mines going to arrive…So that bore reducer needs to come out… but does...
Anytime mate, I hope you are successful But fear not, all the loom parts are relatively cheap if your screw this up:
(Or used to be at least.... )
The original MY20 Trance loom was £25:
147L-HDPOBO-15
Interestingly, that was superceded by :
147L-HCRCTM-12
The charging connector is £20...
Im going to try, but its a bit hazy, I'm afraid as i am suffering from memory recall issues in my old age.
(Genuinely... under investigation. Suspected early onset of the dreaded... :( )
But in essence, you have RCOne cables that must not be messed with for obvious reasons, lighting ports and...
A fun story.
So i needed GIANT to diagnose my bike for me as the motor had died, (We knew this, but of course computer must say yes first) so i phoned them up and booked her in for next day then remembered... Damn, I cut the diags port off the bike so they couldnt plug in! 😖
So I spent a couple...
Hi,
I like the paint on stuff myself as it’s also super easy to peel off when you need access to the connector. But as long as it’s protected it will be fine.
I also silicon sealed the outer casings to the frame to keep water from running in there from the top.
For your info, I’ve done...
Yes!
I i tended to come back here and update this and clean forgot.😳
I can confirm that the tune costs £50 at Silverfish (Uk) and comes with some pretty nice looking orange caps. 👌
As for how it rides, I can only echo Rob’s feelings. It’s softer in your normal, low speed, chattery braking bump...
I thought as much.
Beware...
The cyclic action of worn crank bearings is what cavitates the water into the motor and destroys them.
Once the circuit board has failed this way they can only be replaced by GIANT and they will want to charge you around £700GBP to replace it and give it you back...
Here are the new trails at Glentress in Scotland. Just what the valley needed as it’s primarily tech which we love, but it had no nice flow trails, until now…
Steve and I are both on our Giant Trance E+Pro‘S
I clean forgot I had made this topic. Just came across it by chance.
i figured anyone reading it would likely be interested in the REAL solution to this problem that was discovered over a year later in January 22 after this problem carried on randomly even with the new battery…...
