I had the update done today at my lbs. It changed the default settings in the ride modes. Turbo was at 45% peak. So I had to reset. No noticeable difference while riding. The walk mode has been dumbed down. I use to use it to raise the front end up to push it through gates and to change gears...
I think the hardest part about comparing demo bikes is they usually have different tires. After about 40 miles on the stock 2.6 butchers on my 19 Levo expert I swapped them for Maxxis 2.6 dhf's. Different bike after that, no longer felt like I was ice skating.
Can't go wrong with the rail...
It is my belief that anything you do to make a motor work harder will reduce it's useful life. This includes using turbo. Doesn't excuse the limited life of these motors by any means, but it could be a contributing factor for some. I believe it could be heat related as someone else mentioned.

I have played around with 27.5 w/ 2.8 Maxxis dhf/dhr tires. I won't go into the details because there's plenty of info out there comparing 29 to 27 and all the basic points hold true for the Levo. Ultimately I did not like the 27 in front, other than...
Sorry looking on my phone but it looks like the cube is a 4 bar (Horst link) and the commencal is a single pivot? Ive always been a fan of the 4 bar and feel they climb better than most. I've had plenty of fun on single pivots though, but I would personally chose the 4 bar.
I just put 27.5, 40mm wide with 2.8 maxxis dhf/dhr 2 on my 2019. 15 lbs in the front and 18 in the rear for now. Turned quicker and felt better in corners and jumps. Much rougher on the fast rutted sections.
