I rode clipless on the road my whole life and did so when converting to MTB.2 years ago I crashed and got somehow trapped and my foot pointed in the opposite direction when I was on the ground. An open fraction and endless procedures and operations. Could bike again and first thing was flats...
I had lower back pain each time riding my Specialized Epic. When I changed to a Levo it was all gone. The race geometry of the Epic was just too much for me ;-).
I bought a 20 and 26 ben e-bike for my boys 2 years ago when they where 6 & 12. These are great bikes and build with good components and super light. Also very reliable I can say. One battery had an issue and was fixed for free. Super fast as well. Cannot keep up with the levo???
But no...
I have the best time when I go biking with my 8 year old son and we speed up the trails where the guys push up their bikes ( I actually hardly see anyone biking uphill). As you can hardly see his bike is an ebike and he’s way faster than me it always gives a good smile on everyone’s face.
Just heard from Adam at Bristols Specialized Concept Store that they will give me a new battery. This is great customer service from both, Specialized and the Bristol workshop!!!
The battery on my LEVO 2018 is not switching on any more. Charger light is red for a second and switches to green so I suppose the battery is fully charged.
It did make me think!!!!!!
I had a nasty accident in November in the Forest of Dean and was super lucky that a fellow biker was close enough behind me and reacted fast (thank you forever Edward!). Called the ranger, ambulance......
I think it would have taken me some time to figure out what to...
I live in London but spending most week-ends in Gloucestershire and bike in the FOD.
My boys aren't that much into biking and it would be nice to ride from time to time with some comrades.

PS I'm 58 and not that much into extreme downhill :-)
