Answered Can't get my tyre back on

I would guess it depends on the air flow/volume the inflator is able to provide. Those old canister type ones might work, not sure. These rather new stationary pumping machines probably won't as they inflate more slowly, I think.

This is exactly the way I did it.

Answered Can't get my tyre back on

Guys, It couldn't have been much easier. I seated both sides with a tube, took off the (MUCH easier) side and was able to use my floor pump to reseat that bead no problem. *facepalm* The rims are asymmetric and the "easier" side (more room from the spokes) is not as steep, of course, and the...

Yeah, I thought about that (fit with tube first). Get the one side off where the dents are further away from the edge. I mean, the last time I did it with exactly the same means: my hands and my trusty pump. And the whole process took only about 20 minutes.

Help! I can't get the tyre back onto my RaceFace AR 40. It is a Maxxis Rekon 27.5 x 2.8 3C EXO TR. I went tubeless on the front wheel about two years ago. Back then it wasn't an issue. I went as far as I could with my hands and the rest just popped into place via air pressure. Back then I...

How does my E8000 measure km/h?

That might be true, @steve_sordy . I don't actually recall what kind of track I was testing on. But from my notion of going "faster" I guess it was road. Thank you for reminding me, though. I'll probably get a new rear tire at some point in the near future. Will try something else. Maybe also...

These low saddles look awfully uncomfy for a 30 mile ride, though.

Unanswered SLX I-SPEC shifter clamp broke, better alternatives?

No one? Too cheap stuff? Bought a new shifter, btw. Had to if I wanted to ride over Easter. No one had this as spare lying around. Oh, and you can't just swap the clamp easily, you have to take the shifter apart. Cause the clamp is locked from the inside with another screw. Nice job, Shimano. Not.

Unanswered SLX I-SPEC shifter clamp broke, better alternatives?

Bike fell over, to the left. Right shifter clamp broke. Are these just trash? Is this normal? Is there a better, aftermarket clamp out there? Would hate to buy a whole new shifter set for 30 bucks with the clamp breaking again soon.

I am just weak sauce, apparently. oO

Thx, man. I guess this is what goes as "tubeless-ready". I can imagine this sealing perfectly, as it already does pretty well without any fluid.

Ok, I totally underestimated this endeavor. The 'center' thing finally did the trick. It was 'all to the center' though, everywhere, multiple runs around the tyre. There is a groove at the outer edge of the rim holding the tyre so firmly... Man, I feel stupid now.

I have my bike for nearly a year now and I got my first flat tyre after my last sunday's ride. Did not notice anything while I was on it, but on the next morning it was flat in the front. I checked the valve, seemed fine, and inflated the tyre again: it was nearly flat after half a day. Here...
