The rear freehub snapped on my 2018 Levo about 12 months ago, leading to the situation pictured in Cisco’s photo. It was covered under warranty and replaced with a Hope free hub which i had no problems with a sounded way louder. The standard Rovel hubs are obviously not up to the task.
For anybody else considering purchasing a 2019 bike my Meta Power Race 29er came with a E7000 switch and a KS under bar dropper remote, not the E8000 switch and the over bar remote, which was a nice surprise. I guess Commencal saw sense changed the spec.
Purchased a Specialized Turbo Levo 2018 from Evans Cycles Apr 18. 1st motor lasted roughly a year and a half, approx. 1000miles. The most annoying factor is that it took Evans Cycles over 2 months to replace it. Under 2 months of use and the 2nd motor is now very noisy and have just emailed...
I had exactly the same last Dec mate. It was replaced under warranty, however it took several weeks which is the standard Evans Cycles customer service.
It was replaced with a Hope Pro hub which is satisfyingly loud freewheeling.
My faith in Specialized has been some what restored. As an update, Evans Gatwick have now told me that Specialized will sort out the axle/freehub and motor housing issues out under warranty, it’s booked to go in this Friday. Originally I had approached Evans Milton Keynes about the motor housing...
Hi guys wanted to highlight a few problems I am having with my 2018 Turbo Levo Comp purchased from Evans Cycles and see if anyone else has had similar experiences and hopefully get a response from @Specialized Rider Care
1. Sram Guide RE Brake Pistons. I’ve already had to replace the front...
I am using just rubber strap to mount on to the handlebars, so far no problems and avoid having a permanent mount.
I find the light on the helmet okay, I been riding chicksands bike park with it so don’t really notice it if you know what I mean, might be different if you were doing a trail ride.
Back from a night ride around the local bike park using this setup. I bought both the 1600 and the 1000 lumens for a helmet light this weekend as both were discounted at Halfords. I found using the supplied rubber band and rubber foot fine for the handlebars, and combined with the helmet light...
As an update, so glad I went with a bigger ring, I am spending much more time in the middle range of gears now, only using the lowest gears for transits along fire roads between trails. At the other end of the range, still not really using the highest gear for anything but the steepest climbs. I...
Fitted a Blackspire Snaggletooth 36t chainring today, no need to remove the crank and spider, only the drive side pedal. A bit of a fiddle fitting the bolts, a found rolled up bit of sticky tape helps to hold the ‘nut’ in position underneath the crank spider when putting in the bolts. I’ll...
I use ‘Runtastic Mountain Bike GPS’, it uses the OpenCycleMap which shows bike trails. It is a shame iOS Strava doesn’t use OpenCycleMap, so is useless for off road riding.
Anyone replaced the stock chainring with a 36t or 38t? If so what chainring did you get and how is it performing?
I know the stock 32t Praxis chainring is steel and I can only see alloy chainrings available for sale, also I have read you have to remove the chain guide in order to run a 38t...
